เมื่อวันที่ 27 มิถุนายน 2562 ฝ่ายการเกษตร ประจำสถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครลอสแอนเจลิส ได้ประชุมหารือกับผู้บริหารหน่วยงาน World Coffee Research ณ เมืองพอร์ตแลนด์ มลรัฐออริกอน เพื่อหารือโอกาสในการจัดทำความร่วมมือยกระดับกาแฟไทยให้เป็นที่ยอมรับและได้มาตรฐานระดับสากล ทั้งนี้ หน่วยงาน World Coffee Research เป็นหน่วยงานระดับสากลที่ดำเนินงานครอบคลุมทุกมิติเกี่ยวกับกาแฟ ได้แก่ การปรับปรุงพันธุ์ การผลิต งานวิจัย เครือข่ายสนับสนุนธุรกิจกาแฟ เป็นต้น

On June 27, 2019, Thailand Office of Agricultural Affairs, Los Angeles (OAA-LA) had a meeting with Greg Meemahan, partnership Development Director and Hanna Neushwander, Communication Director from World Coffee Research (WCR) in Portland, Oregon to discuss the possibility of a research cooperation between Thailand and WCR for enhancing the quality of Thai Coffee. WCR is a global coffee agriculture research and development organization. Their expertise cover the entire chain of coffee industry including breeding, production, research, business support networking and etc.
