เมื่อวันอังคารที่ 3 กันยายน 2562 ฝ่ายการเกษตร ประจำสถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครลอสแอนเจลิส สหรัฐอเมริกา และสำนักงานมาตรฐานสินค้าเกษตรและอาหารแห่งชาติ (มกอช.) ได้ร่วมกันจัดการสัมมนาเรื่อง “การส่งออกไปสหรัฐอเมริกา ต้องเข้าใจอะไรบ้าง : มุมมองเจ้าหน้าที่รัฐ” ณ โรงแรมพูลแมน กรุงเทพฯ แกรนด์ สุขุมวิท โดยมีผู้เข้าสัมมนาประมาณ 4๐๐ คน ประกอบด้วย ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านกฎระเบียบและการนำเข้าของสหรัฐอเมริกา เจ้าหน้าที่ภาครัฐและผู้ประกอบการภาคเอกชนของไทย โดยมีเป้าหมายหลักเพื่อ (๑) เผยแพร่ความรู้ ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับกฎระเบียบที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการนำเข้าสินค้าเกษตรและอาหาร และสินค้าทั่วไปไปยังสหรัฐอเมริกา พร้อมรายละเอียดขั้นตอน พิธีการด้านศุลกากร มาตรการรักษาความปลอดภัย สุขอนามัย และการบริหารจัดการต่าง ๆ  (๒) สร้างช่องทางการสื่อสารและแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างกลุ่มผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้อง และ (๓) เสริมสร้างศักยภาพของผู้ประกอบการธุรกิจเพื่อการส่งออกและนำเข้าผลิตภัณฑ์อาหารและเกษตรไปยังสหรัฐอเมริกา

On Tuesday September 3, 2019, Thailand Office of Agricultural Affairs, Los Angeles (OAA-LA) and the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS) jointly organized a seminar on "Exports to the United States What You Need to Understand: the Perspective of Government Officials" at the Pullman Bangkok Grand Sukhumvit Hotel. There were approximately 400 participants, consisting of experts in regulation and importation of the United States, Thai government officials and private entrepreneurs. The goals of this seminar were (1) to disseminate knowledge and Understanding of regulations related to the import of agricultural, food and general products to the United States including detailed steps of customs clearance security, sanitation and management measures (2) to establish communication channels and exchanges between relevant groups and (3) to enhance the capacity of business operators for export and import of food and agricultural products to the United States.
