10 เมษายน 2562 ฝ่ายการเกษตร ประจำสถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครลอสแอนเจลิส และคณะผู้ตรวจสอบจากกรมประมงได้ประชุมร่วมกับสำนักงานด้านสุขอนามัย ความปลอดภัย และคุณภาพของการเกษตรและอาหารแห่งชาติประเทศเม็กซิโก (Servicio Nacional de Sanidad, Inocuidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria: SENASICA) เพื่อรับทราบข้อมูลด้านระบบการควบคุม กำกับดูแล และเฝ้าระวังโรคสัตว์น้ำ พร้อมนี้ ฝ่ายการเกษตรฯ ได้ติดตามเร่งรัดประเด็นการอนุญาตนำเข้ากุ้งจากไทย ซึ่งอยู่ในกระบวนการพิจารณาสุดท้าย หลังจากที่ห้ามนำเข้าไปตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2556

April 10, 2019, Thailand Office of Agricultural Affairs, Los Angeles (OAA-LA) and the Mission from Thailand Department of Fisheries-led by Dr. Putth Songsangjinda-attended a meeting with the National Bureau of Health, Safety and Quality of Agriculture and Food of Mexico (SENASICA) as a part to collect and assess Mexican control system, monitoring and surveillance program of aquatic diseases. In this occasion, OAA-LA followed up the issue of shrimp import resumption after its withholding since 2013.
